Our Story

Three Brothers Different Mothers began as a Veteran owned and operated competition BBQ team competing across the country. As a result of our competition accomplishments, our catering business has flourished, resulting in numerous events throughout the Midwest. Additionally, cooking for friends and family has increased our notoriety here in the Kansas City, MO area.

As we continued to expand we wanted a more versatile method of cooking. Thus the food trailer was born! We now travel across the midwest serving unique weekly selections of our bbq-fusion foods and various BBQ specials.

About

In 1956, Yoko immigrated to the United States with her husband Nobuyasu (George). An avid homemaker, she took her traditional teriyaki recipe and refined it to conform to Western culture. The resulting spicy teriyaki marinade, basting and finishing sauce quickly became a favorite at family gatherings in addition to winning countless awards at BBQ contests throughout the Midwest. Her culinary expertise allowed Three Brothers Different Mothers to develop her sauces and market them under the Yoko name.
